Four feet of bar will be separating me from these guys, and they can go find someone else to gross out. Pervs were at a maximum, the dreaded "crotch grabber" was back and a few regulars turned creepy on me. It was a strange one once a month we have $2 beer and free dinner until 8pm, which means terrible tippers and no business at all between 8 and 10. That's it, I'm retiring my tray and burning my heels! Last night was my last as a strip club waitress. Different trainer, same rules, more expectations. I couldn't hide it, I had to laugh- she googled me? My first question was, "why?" and my second question was, "how did you get my last name?" But it gave me a giggle, she told me about 18 times that my photos were hot and asked me how long ago I took them. The waitress I trained last week came up to me and told me she had googled me and loved my Playboy pictures. I don't mind having things drilled in my head if it will keep me from making stupid mistakes that might get me fired. I also appreciate that the bartender training me is strict and firm but not outright mean. This is going to be much, much more difficult than I expected. They handed me a paper with every bottle of alcohol listed and told me to have them memorized by rating by tonight. I'm too slow at counting change, so I was asked to take $40 worth of ones and count them out until it doesn't take me forever to do so. I was given a jigger and glass and instructed to pour water from an old vodka bottle over and over and over until I didn't spill. My brain is still swimming with all the numbers and drink orders and cash register codes. They usually buy you drinks so If you work at a club that has automatic gratuity you make money for every drink you serve.AHHHHH!!!! Being a bartender is a lot like being a mom, you have to clean up after everyone while constantly making sure they are all happy. Just keep talking to them and get them to run their bill up. You can get regular customers that come back to talk to you cuz they think you are their friend. Guys also try to talk to you more because the other girls are taking their clothes off and guys are always interested in the forbidden. Sure they can make $1000 one night but the next night they could leave owing house fee, tip out for house mom and make up/hair. The money is more consistent than it is for the dancers. Even if the club is dead that night the dancers still drink and they tip for drinks. When people look at it they don't know it's a strip club unless they look it up.Īlso, you can make BANK with this type of job. Every strip club I have ever worked at has a different corporation name that goes on your checks, It's not the name that's on the side of the building. First, I got cash tips but most of the money came from credit card tips and that came in the form of checks. I haven't had any problems listing my past jobs. I'm going back to school so I can get into a healthcare field. I was a bartender and waitress at several strip clubs during undergrad.
